II International "Cyber Week"

From 02 to 06 March 2020, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies will hold the II International Cyber Security Week for increasing the effectiveness and awareness of related activities in the field of cyber security, as well as improving national readiness, awareness of private and other agencies in the field of cyber security, the formation of a culture of cyber security, coordination of cyber security activities of state and non-state information infrastructure entities, creation of appropriate technical and methodological tools to strengthen cybersecurity, making recommendations and methodological support, protection of information processes and the formation of a national ecosystem in cybersecurity.

Within the framework of the Cyber Security Week, in conjunction with relevant organizations “Conference on Cyber Security”, “Secure Government Cloud”, “Practical Seminar on Penetration Testing for Government and Bank Sector”, “Youth Internet Governance Forum on Cyber Security”, “Hackathon” competition, “Digital law: Personal data protection”, “International Certification on Cyber Security” and “Hackathon” Award and etc. events will be organized with the participation of local and international experts as speakers.

Conference on Cyber Security

The main goal of the “Conference on Cyber Security” is to exchange experience with local and international experts in cybersecurity, to strengthen cooperation between policy-making bodies and operating companies.

Presentations by local and international companies on the new cyber security solutions will be heard at the “Conference on Cyber Security” taking into account the current trends and challenges of the day.

Youth Internet Governance Forum on Cyber Security

Youth Internet Governance Forum 2020 will be held in Azerbaijan on 2020 March 4 within the Cyber Security Week organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, Youth Foundation and United Nations Development Program in order to amplify the potency of coordinated activities and awareness level of youth, as well as general training in the field of cyber security.

A number of proficient international experts will be involved to the sessions devoted to realization of cyber security, preventing methods of cyber-attacks, cyber law awareness and other related interesting topics within the Youth IGF 2020.

The national and international participants will get involved in the round table discussions on above mentioned topics and will be awarded with the Certificates and presents.

“Hackathon” competition

The main goal of the “Hackathon” competition is to develop cybersecurity skills, identify potential of personnel, increase interest in this field and awareness among young people.

During the 12-hour “Hackathon” competition, participants will be given tasks on cryptography, reverse engineering, the exploitation of vulnerabilities in binary and web applications and the participants' knowledge and skills on computer systems protection will be assessed.

Digital law: Personal data protection

The main goal of the event is to enhance the protection of personal data at the national level by strengthening cooperation with individuals representing the categories of owners and operators of personal data to ensure that personal data protection is maintained in accordance with local and international law.
